In case you missed the news from earlier this week, Gencon released her numbers on Monday. Last year they landed at 49,000 attendees, this year they hit 56,000. That's a nice big jump! The show has almost doubled since its move to Indianapolis.
We noticed a much more active floor, more people milling about, shopping and what not in the main dealer's hall. And the hall was much larger this year, than last. All our games filled up fairly quickly. The walkways were crowded day and night. A huge number of cosplay on deck.
All in all, the numbers showed! Its not changed much in look since we first attended in 2000, but its sure changed! (that's Todd Gray behind the screen there).
